Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill Features:

Feature Highlights:

  • Cooking Area: 265 Square Inches, stainless steel
  • Number of burners: 2 (Combined 20,000 BTUs)
  • Construction Material: Stainless Steel
  • Elevation: Tabletop
  • Size & Weight: 22” x 18” x 15” (L x W x H); 26lbs

Every grill is unique in its own way, with different capabilities and features that make the unit special. So, let’s dive into what makes up the Giantex Propane Tabletop Gas Grill.

Two, 10,000 BTU Independently Controlled Burners – Separate burners working independently give you more options while preparing meals. This grill’s knobs pump up a combined 20,000 BTUs with fast heating capabilities, which easily reach and maintain high temperatures.

Stainless Steel Construction – The grill’s body, lid and legs are made of 430-grade stainless steel construction. You probably already know that 430-grade stainless steel is highly conductive and can retain heat at pretty high temperatures without breaking a sweat.

Four foldable legs – It’s a tabletop grill, with no waist-high stand or anything, but the foldable legs give you location set-up options. So whether you are boating, tailgating, camping, picnicking or wherever your next outing takes you, all you need is a sturdy surface to fire the grill up.

265 Square Inches Cooking Area – With tailgating grills, the bigger the cooking area the better, especially if you’re partying as a large group. Well, just know you’ve hit home if your grill has two independently controlled burners firing up a 265 square-inch cooking grate.

Other Notable Features:

  • Silver in color
  • Uses 20lbs propane tanks only
  • Propane hose attached to the left side
  • Drain tray

Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill Cleaning & Maintenance:

Stainless steel is generally easy to clean, and doesn’t require extra maintenance unlike cast- iron grills that need seasoning. That said, here’s how you clean and maintain the Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill

  • Open the lid and allow it to cool off before removing any part.
  • Remove the cooking grate and burner covers. Use soapy water and dishwasher and scrub to clean them.
  • If there’s food residue on the burners, use a dry brush with plastic or nylon bristles to clean them. They’re delicate so you may want to go easy on them.
  • Empty the drain tray and use warm, soapy water to clean it. Leave it out to dry before reattaching it.

Once the cleaning is done, reattach the parts and cover it using the grill’s cover when storing it away. You can buy the grill’s cover on Amazon.com if you don’t have one. It also doubles up as a carrying bag.

Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill Portability:

The Giantex Tabletop Grill weighs 26lbs and measures 22” x 18” x 15” (L x W x H) around the size of your regular-sized suitcase. So, it should be easy enough to carry it around. The downside to its portability has to be the propane tank issue. Apparently, you can’t use 1lb canisters so you’ll need an extra 20lb tank that almost doubles down the unit’s total carry-along weight.

Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill Warranty:

We couldn’t get the exact warranty information about the product, so you’ll have to contact the manufacturer for that. You can send them an email to service@Giantexer.com. And they’re open 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday.

What Do We Like?

The Giantex Tabletop Propane Grill is a beautifully constructed and well thought out grill, that’s perfect for tailgating and other outdoor action. So here’s what we really like about it:

Independently controlled burners – With independently controlled burners you can easily prepare two meals at once, meaning you don’t need to cook in rounds. You can also keep ready food warm, or even roast some ribs on one side while slow-cooking a tenderloin steak on the other. Tons of options here!

High quality stainless steel construction – 430 stainless steel is just about strong enough to get the most out of your grill before you upgrade. It also gives the grill a classy shine. You don’t want to go tailgating with a rugged, beat up grill now do you?

Fast, high heating capabilities – The grill’s combined 20,000 BTU burners can top temperatures of 400-500 degrees with ease. So you don’t really have to worry about feeding the team throughout the event.

Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill Complaints:

So, now that you know what positives to expect if you choose to buy the Giantex Tabletop Propane Grill, you should also know the negatives before you whip out your wallet.

Cold spots at the front – Customers say you’ll have to keep moving your food from front to back, as the cooking surface doesn’t heat evenly. The back end heats up nicely, but the front doesn’t match the temperature at the same time. The problem with cold spots is that it can get tricky if you’re grilling a whole fish that requires minimum flipping and turning.

Grease escapes to the burners – Customers who have used the grill say they had problems managing grease. It drains right onto the burner if you don’t place the grill on a flat enough surface. Even small drops of untrapped grease can make the grill catch on fire. So you may want to ensure the grease doesn’t reach the burners.

Other Tailgating Grills to Consider:

  1. Chris,
Awesome review. I love grilling and am currently looking to upgrade my set up. The break down of everything is awesome. It’s hard to find quality products by simply reading descriptions and what the company says about it. Do you recommend Giantex Tabletop Gas Grill? Or do you have a #1 recommendation?

    1. Hi Mason. Glad you liked the review! Based on our research, the pros seem to outweigh the cons and people had positive experiences with the Giantex. If your’re looking for my recommendation, take a look at our recent “Top 10 Best Grills for Tailgating of 2019” post. Thanks for visiting and happy grilling!

  2. This looks like a really good option for me. I live in an apartment, so having a big grill is out of the question right now, but because I do like to grill, this has the size, capability, and portability I would be looking for.

It is a little concerning, however, the complaints about uneven heating and grease fires. I could probably deal with the heating issue, but the grease fire is a real concern. I wonder how slanted the surface was that people experienced fires. It just gets me wondering if it is a manufacturing defect or a mistake made by the customer. Any thoughts?

    Thanks for the post!

    1. Hi Steve:

I definitely agree that the potential for a grease fire with this grill is a serious concern. However, based on our research, this issue does not appear to be a defect, but rather user error. This is a quality grill, but just make sure you use it on a level surface. Hope this helps!
